Anthropomorphic shape with rough surface. In its both endings the feathers emphasize its grotesque-carnivalistic-ritualistic character. It emerges (or squeezed?) through a perforated steel cone. Dipoles, identity, position, contrast, and complementarity is under question.

Ανθρωπόμορφο σχήμα με αδρή επιφάνεια. Στις δυο απολήξεις του φτερά που τονίζουν τον γκροτέσκο-καρναβαλικό-τελετουργικό χαρακτήρα του. Ξεπροβάλει (ή σφηνώνεται;) μέσα από διάτρητο μεταλλικό κώνο. Τα δίπολα, η ταυτότητα, η θέση, η αντίθεση, και η αλληλοσυμπλήρωση είναι υπό ερώτηση.

Organic clay form that was created in the same way we built castles in the sand. It is coloured and glazed multiple times to preserve the feeling of intense moisture. It is standing on a construction which ends in five rods, causing the equilibrium to be fragile.

Οργανική φόρμα από πηλό που δημιουργήθηκε όπως χτίζονται πύργοι στην άμμο. Έχει χρωματιστεί και εφυαλωθεί (γυάλινο επίχρισμα) πολλαπλά για να διατηρήσει την αίσθηση έντονης υγρασίας. Στέκεται πάνω σε μια κατασκευή που καταλήγει σε πέντε ράβδους, με αποτέλεσμα η ισορροπία να είναι εύθραυστη.

Three following sculptures

A wax sculpture, part of a constructed human form with skirt (namely basin-buttocks-top right thigh), was reproduced three times. Each time the reconstruction, alteration, distortion, modification, color manipulation and the way it is placed in the specific context/system of objects converts it into an abstract form with multiple readings and associations.

Ενα κέρινο γλυπτό, μέρος κατασκευασμένης ανθρώπινης μορφής με φούστα (συγκεκριμένα λεκάνη-γλουτοί-αρχή δεξιού μηρού), αναπαράχθηκε τρεις φορές. Κάθε φορά η ανάλογη ανακατασκευή, αλλοίωση, παραμόρφωση, χρωματική χειραγώγηση και ο τρόπος τοποθέτησής του στο εκάστοτε πλαίσιο-σύστημα αντικειμένων το καθιστούν μια αφηρημένη πια φόρμα με διαφορετικές αναγνώσεις και συσχετισμούς.

The wax sculpture is placed upside down, so that the hole of the mold functions as an entrance. It is placed on a form consisted of toilet papers that are covered roughly with plaster. The organic element of the composition and the physical interconnections are intensified.

Το κέρινο γλυπτό έχει τοποθετηθεί ανάποδα, ώστε η τρύπα του καλουπιού να λειτουργεί ως είσοδος του βλέμματος στο εσωτερικό του. Στέκεται πάνω σε μια φόρμα από χαρτιά υγείας επικαλυμμένα αδρά με γύψο. Η οργανικότητα της σύνθεσης και οι φυσικές αλληλοσυνδέσεις επιτείνονται.

The wax is fragmented and a part of it is used. The rest of the elements that consist the final sculpture are geometric and absolute forms that come in counterpoint with the organic abstract form and they supplement it.

Το κέρινο έχει κατακερματιστεί κι έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί ένα μέρος του. Τα υπόλοιπα στοιχεία είναι καθαρά γεωμετρικές και απόλυτες φόρμες, που έρχονται σε αντίστιξη με την οργανική αφηρημένη φόρμα και τη συμπληρώνουν.

Μέρος του κέρινου τοποθετείται μόνο του στον τοίχο ως κομμάτι στεφάνης.

A wax peel covers and embraces a column of fireclay which its form is inspired from nature. It is free-standing in space as a remnant-footnote of a structure that is lost.

Μια φλούδα κερί καλύπτει κι αγκαλιάζει μια στήλη πυροχώματος που εκκινεί τη μορφή της από τη φύση. Στέκεται ελεύθερη στο χώρο, ως απομεινάρι-υποσημείωση μιας δομής που έχει χαθεί.

Works 2007

An inverted phallic form with two heads became the target onto which I nailed sharp bamboo sticks dipped into colour. The sculpture was emerged from an informal performance-ritual around the original form that was developed under my bodily dimensions. The work is in an open and overt dialogue with "Saint Sebastian" in the realm of history of art and in dialogue with painting after performance.

Μια αναποδογυρισμένη φαλλική μορφή με δυο κεφάλια έγινε ο στόχος, πάνω στον οποίο κάρφωνα αιχμηρά καλάμια βουτηγμένα σε χρώματα. Το γλυπτό προέκυψε από μια άτυπη performance- τελετουργία γύρω από την αρχική φόρμα που είχα κατασκευάσει με βάση τις σωματικές μου διαστάσεις. Το έργο είναι σε ανοιχτό κι εμφανή διάλογο με τον «Αγιο Σεβαστιανό» στην ιστορία της τέχνης και τη ζωγραφική μετά την performance .
